Rockefeller Capital Management has added two sizable wirehouse teams in recent weeks, pulling advisors from both Merrill Lynch and UBS Wealth Management as it continues an aggressive recruiting run.
Most recently, Rockefeller recruited a Palo Alto-based UBS team managing roughly $2 billion in client assets, according to an AdvisorHub report. Vanessa G. Anderson and Jean C. Gannon joined the firm's Global Family Office unit with two support staff. The team produces about $10 million in annual revenue, a source told the publication.
The pair began their careers at Goldman Sachs before moving to UBS in the early 2000s, according to regulatory records. The move follows Rockefeller's recruitment of a Houston-based private wealth team from Merrill overseeing about $3 billion in assets. The group generated roughly $14 million in annual revenue, according to reports.
The Houston hire added to a string of recent large-team wins for Rockefeller, including a $1 billion group from Morgan Stanley earlier this month. The latest additions come as Rockefeller builds on a steady expansion strategy that has leaned heavily on experienced wirehouse teams.
The firm, which has roughly 200 advisory teams, in February promoted Michael Outlaw to president of its wealth management division and reorganized its business into six regions spanning the U.S.
